Visit Maldives to Sponsor La Liga Club Celta de Vigo

The Ministry of Tourism has announced that the Visit Maldives campaign will be offering sponsorship to the La Liga side, Celta de Vigo. Maldives has never been promoted in a vast platform as this in its history. With the country accelerating in arrival stats in this year the Indian Ocean holiday destination is set to break 1.5 million arrivals in 2019 mark during the coming months.
‘Visit Maldives’ logo will be displayed on the Celta de Vigo’s jerseys, official transportations and at the clubs’ stadium with a capacity of housing 30,000 supporters. Moreover, two kids from the Maldives who were selected by former Real Madrid Defender Michael Salgado during the Tourism Day celebrations has been granted the chance to train at Celta de Vigo’s Academy.

According to the proposal, ‘Visit Maldives’ logo will be printed on the Celta de Vigo’s jersey, stadium, practice kit, and boards that include teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid
The Spanish side Celta de Vigo is commonly known as Celta Vigo was founded in 1923 and has been fighting in the top leagues of Spanish football since then. Currently 15th on the La Liga standings the side is yet to spark their best this season.
