Tree Top Hospital offers Embalming, Mortuary, Transport and related services for the preservation of the deceased.
Embalming is performed for the preservation of the deceased for repatriation. Tree Top Hospital introduced embalming services as part of our Mortuary Services on June 2nd 2019.
Tree Top Hospital offers Embalming, Mortuary, Transport related services for the preservation of the deceased, at the following prices and inclusions.
- For Embalming normal bodies: USD 5,500 (exempt from 6.0% GST)
- For Embalming decomposing bodies USD 6,000 (exempt 6.0% GST)
The following optional services are not included in the above embalming price and will be changed accordingly. All prices are subject to change
- Mortuary Charge to store the body until repatriated or buried (exempt from 6.0% GST)
USD 500.00/day for an expatriate whom entered the Maldives with a tourist visa
USD 250.00/day for an expatriate whom entered the Maldives with Work Permit
USD 150.00/day for Maldivians
In addition to the above services, Tree Top Hospital will provide assistance with hiring a local repatriation agent to make the legal and shipping arrangements to send the body home upon request.
Embalming is performed by licensed professionals following procedures meeting international standards of care and handling including dressing and cosmetic make-up. An official embalming certificate is issued which complies with international regulations.
