Soneva Fushi- A Chic Tropical Idyll.

Soneva Fushi was named amongst the best resorts in the world in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2017.
Deep in the blues of heaven, Soneva Jani is an eco-friendly slice of pure paradise. Located in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Soneva Fushi has a lush tropical vegetation surrounded by snow white sands and turquoise lagoons with underwater beauties just below.
Established in 1995, Soneva Fushi is the original Soneva. The no news, no shoes blue print for all dessert island luxury hideaway.
Arrival at the resort includes a 30 minute seaplane ride from the Velana International Airport. The scenery from the seaplane’s window is just out of your imagination. The blues of the Indian Ocean mixing up with the turquoise lagoons and the heavenly islands of the Maldives to feast your eyes with heavenly views.
The resort consists of 65 island villas on both sunrise and sunset side of the island. Both sides I must say has few differences, as the most iconic crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches are all around the island.
Even though, if you seek for privacy then the Sunrise side villas are your identical choice. Catch the very first rays of the sun at it rises above the Indian Ocean with majestic views, early risers can enjoy the isolation and magical tropical vibes.
The latest addition to the Soneva Fushi’s luxury experience is the “Out of the Blue”. An two-storey over water structure that itself houses five unique dining out lets.
The Sunrise side meanwhile offers you perfect views and three access points to the house reef- to snorkel into the blues and enjoy the marine life. Dolphins are often sighted at this side of the island passing the nearby channel.
What fascinates me at any destination is the eateries and the dining options. In Soneva Fushi there is a number of options when it comes to satisfy your taste buds. It would be a shame not to experience them all. An holiday without good food isn’t a holiday well spent.
The Fresh in The Garden restaurant at the soneva is quite unique. For starters the restaurant itself is located int the lush vegetation surrounded by banana trees. The freshly picked delights such as midsummer strawberry picking brings back the good old days of childhood right back to your mind.
