With a philosophy of their own, Ministry of Crab offers Japanese culinary techniques and tastes with their fresh seafood. You only get served the best of the catch, there won’t be small and meatless portions- only the best is served. Three times a week, shipments of freshly caught crabs, prawns, clams, and even oysters are brought from Sri Lanka.
The dishes are made with delicacy and extra care with respect using techniques from Japanese culinary philosophies. The crabs served are caught from the wild which makes the taste even more natural. Once the food is served dig in with your hands or with the restaurant’s special crab utensils.
Dishes with great taste and techniques such as Garlic Chili Crab, Butter Crab, and Seafood Cocktails are available at the newly opened restaurant in the Maldives.

Launched in 2011 with their restaurant in Colombo the franchise has seen progress and overwhelming support throughout the years. This is the franchise’s fourth outlet outside Sri Lanka after opening their doors in Shanghai, Manila, and Mumbai. According to Darshan Munidasa, one of the three partners of the brand, they are planning to open their fifth outlet in Bangkok this year and two more restaurants in the Maldives in the near future.
