LUX* North Male Celebrates First Anniversary With Luxury Catamaran Debut
The second resort by LUX* Resorts and Hotels, LUX* North Male Atoll celebrates their first anniversary by revealing the flawlessly-designed ‘Lagoon 40’ catamaran. Guests staying at the resort now have the chance to explore beyond the lagoon waters of the resort, into the sandbank nearby and beyond.
Designed to impress, the 38.5 ft catamaran was built in Bordeaux, France to ensure the luxury and thrill of the adventures are worthwhile. ‘Lagoon 40’ has a total of three air-conditioned cabins with ensuite bathrooms, king sized beds and other amenities, along with the vessels kitchenette and indoor dining space.
The catamaran has a maximum capacity of 15 guests for excursion trips, while four guests can be accommodated during overnight cruises. LUX* North Male is determined to deliver the ‘Lighter, Brighter’ version of the Maldivian luxury throughout this unique experience as well.
Featuring view-worthy portholes and wide glass windows, the fresh sea breeze and the Maldivian sun will set the feels just right as an edition to the unbeatable views of the Indian Ocean. The catamaran also has an outdoor dinning area along with a sun deck and an overwater net for guests to get just the right tan.

Minimum crew of two skippers and a butler will be on board with the guests throughout the journey, curating and crafting the slightest of the details as the guests need- in order to deliver the perfect experience. Choose from exploring secluded islands, dining and champagne picnics on sandbanks, snorkeling expeditions, cruise or anchor in best sunset viewing spots in the island- the best Maldives has to offer.
